This is a photo of my very first  range of planter pots.  I started making these before I began making the mugs.

A friend of mine (Doug Harris) suggested I should do something with my interest in working with clay.  So, living only 5 minutes walk around the corner from 'Walker Ceramics' in Croydon Victoria, I bought myself a block of clay and churned out these little beastie boys, which I subsequently sold at the Croydon Market in April 1992.

Most of my early inspiration was from reading J.R.R. Tolkein's 'Lord of the Rings'.
